The short version

I run a small consulting practice. I collect very little information, I do not sell any of it, and I do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website. If you want to know what I hold about you, or want it deleted, email info@marabez.com and I will take care of it.

The rest of this notice explains the specifics.

About this notice

Marabez LLC is a North Carolina limited liability company, trading as Marabez Consulting. In this notice, "Marabez Consulting," "I," and "me" all refer to Marabez LLC. The website is written in the first person.

2. Completing the AI Transformation Decision Snapshot (ATDS) or requesting the AI Transformation Decision Review (ATDR)
3. Information you share with me in the course of a consulting engagement

It does not cover third-party websites you reach through links on this site. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

1. The website

What is collected

Contact form. The form on marabez.com asks for three things: your name, your email address, and your message. Nothing else is asked for. The form also carries an anti-spam measure: a hidden field that real visitors never see or fill in. It collects no information about you, and its value is never stored.

Analytics. This website currently runs no analytics. There is no analytics script, no measurement tool, and no third-party service counting your visit. I do not know which pages you read or how long you stayed.

If I add analytics in future, it will be a cookieless, privacy-focused tool that does not track you across websites or build a profile of you, this notice will be updated before it goes live, and the sub-processor list in Section 4 will name the provider.

Server and function logs. Like any website, the hosting infrastructure records technical request data — IP address, browser user-agent, timestamp, and the page or endpoint requested. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting, are retained for a limited period by the hosting provider, and are then deleted automatically.

Cookies

This website sets no cookies. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no tracking pixels, no social media embeds. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.

If that ever changes, this notice will be updated before the change takes effect, and any consent required will be requested at that point.

How the information is used

• To read and respond to your inquiry
• To keep the site secure and working correctly

How long it is kept

• Contact form messages (in my business email): 24 months after our last correspondence, unless our relationship is ongoing
• Hosting and function logs: a limited period set by the hosting provider, then deleted automatically

2. The AI Transformation Decision Snapshot and Review

What is collected

• Your name and business email address, so I can send you your results
• Your organization and your role
• Your answers to the Snapshot questions, including any open-text responses

If you go on to request the full Decision Review, we will agree separately on what additional material you share with me, and that engagement is governed by our written agreement.

How it is used

• To produce and deliver your Snapshot results
• To follow up if you ask about the Decision Review
• To improve the underlying method over time, using aggregated, de-identified patterns across respondents

Snapshot responses are reviewed by me. Where automated scoring is used, a person reviews the output before anything is sent to you. No decision with a legal or similarly significant effect on you is made by automated processing alone.

What I do not do

• I do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
• I do not share your individual responses with anyone outside the engagement.
• I do not use your responses to produce marketing content that names your organization.
• I do not route open-text responses through analytics tools.

How long it is kept

Snapshot responses and contact details are kept for 24 months after your last interaction, so that a later conversation has useful context. You can ask me to delete them sooner at any time, and I will.

Access

Raw responses are accessible only to the account used to produce Snapshot results. They are not exposed in any public view, export, or log.

3. Consulting engagements

During an engagement you may share business documents, operational detail, performance data, or other material about your organization. That information is used only to perform the work you engaged me to do.

Engagement material is governed by the confidentiality terms of our written agreement. Where those terms and this notice differ, the agreement controls. Client material is not used for methodology development, marketing, or any other purpose without your written permission.

If your material includes personal information about your employees or customers, I act on your instructions with respect to that information, and we should address handling and retention specifically in the engagement agreement.

4. Who else touches your information

I use a small number of established service providers to run the business. Each operates under its own published terms of service and security practices. I do not authorize any of them to use your information for marketing, advertising, or resale.

• Porkbun — domain registrar and DNS provider, and host of the info@marabez.com mailbox
• Netlify — hosts the website and runs the contact form's server-side function
• Resend — delivers contact form submissions and Snapshot results by email
• Google (Forms, Sheets, and Drive) — hosts the Snapshot questionnaire and stores responses and working documents

No analytics provider appears on this list because the site runs no analytics. If that changes, this notice and this list are updated first.

I do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, and I do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

I may disclose information where I am legally required to — in response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful demand — or where disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Marabez LLC or others. If I receive a legal demand for your information, I will notify you unless I am prohibited from doing so.

5. Security, and North Carolina requirements

I use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the small volume and low sensitivity of the information I hold. In practice that means: HTTPS across the entire site, secrets and credentials held server-side only and never exposed in page source, multi-factor authentication on the accounts that hold client information, and access limited to me.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and I do not claim otherwise. Please do not send sensitive personal information — government identifiers, financial account numbers, health information — through the website contact form or the Snapshot questionnaire. Neither is designed for it.

Breach notification. Under the North Carolina Identity Theft Protection Act, N.C. Gen. Stat. 75-65, if a security breach affects the personal information of North Carolina residents I will notify affected individuals without unreasonable delay, along with the North Carolina Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division and, where the statute requires it, consumer reporting agencies.

Secure disposal. Under N.C. Gen. Stat. 75-64, records containing personal information are destroyed using reasonable measures when they reach the end of the retention periods described above — shredding for paper, secure deletion for electronic records.

North Carolina has not enacted a comprehensive consumer privacy statute. The rights described in the next section are offered voluntarily, to everyone, regardless of where you live.

6. Your choices

You can ask me to:

• Tell you what I hold about you, and where it came from
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete it
• Send you a copy in a portable format
• Stop contacting you

Email info@marabez.com, or write to the registered business address at the top of this notice. I will acknowledge your request within five business days and complete it within 45 days. If a request is complex and I need more time, I will tell you before those 45 days are up, and take no more than 90 days in total. There is no charge. I may need to confirm your identity before acting — usually by replying from the email address the information is associated with.

The only limit: where I am required to keep something to meet a legal, tax, or contractual obligation, I will tell you what I am retaining and why.

Marketing. I do not operate a mailing list or send newsletters. If that changes, every message will include a one-click unsubscribe link, and this notice will be updated first.

Browser controls. The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, so cookie blocking and content blockers will not affect how it works for you.

7. Children

This website and these services are directed at business professionals. They are not intended for anyone under 18, and I do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, email info@marabez.com and I will delete it.

8. Visitors outside the United States

Marabez LLC operates from North Carolina, in the United States, and information is processed there. Privacy laws in your country may differ from United States law. If you contact me or complete the Snapshot from outside the United States, you are choosing to send your information here.

If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with specific data protection rights, email info@marabez.com and I will honor those rights.

9. Changes to this notice

If this notice changes, the effective date at the top will change and the current version will always be posted at marabez.com. Substantive changes — new categories of information, new purposes, new service providers with access to your information — will be summarized at the top of the notice for 60 days after they take effect.
